During the height of the COVID-19 PPE crisis, former Journy founders and I came together to address a critical supply-chain bottleneck. Hospitals, clinics, and first responders faced severe shortages, and even with funding available, most donations were delayed by middlemen and bureaucratic processes. Leveraging Journy’s global travel network, we built a direct platform connecting health institutions in need with verified PPE manufacturers in China, cutting out intermediaries and expediting distribution.
I led the design of the platform from end to end — focusing on clarity, trust, and efficiency in a high-stakes environment. We designed a lightweight onboarding flow to match donors and recipients quickly, built bilingual interfaces for accessibility, and implemented real-time status updates to ensure transparency.

To maintain transparency, we built a public Donation Tracker that displayed every request, shipment, and delivery in real time. The dashboard allowed anyone to see where supplies were going, which institutions were supported, and how many donations had been fulfilled — reinforcing trust, accountability, and community-driven action during a time of crisis.
